Toshiba Satellite L505 Best Buy

image.png

Toshiba Satellite L505 Best Buy from the Amazon website. DDR3 is worth the extra $22. If you need more ports then u can buy a USB hub. The L505 series only has 3 USB ports. There is no way to change increase USB ports. I own the Toshiba Satellite L505 model and everything about it is great! The only issue that came with mine is the keyboard which has a lot of flex on the left side for some reason, newer models this is fixed!

Best Netbook 2009

image.png

Acer AOD250 and the ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005HA were tied for best netbook to get. Amazon give the best service. I went to Best Buy where they weren’t very helpful, no one said a word to me even walking around with cash in hand and intent on buying something. This unit has the best …

ASUS X77 – Best Gaming Laptop

image.png

ASUS X77 is okay for gaming and HD playback too. Something that might let me check e-mail if I was lucky enough to find a connection; would let me save, edit, and show the photos and short videos I’d taken during this and previous visits; and that I might be able to use to do small word-processing tasks here and there. ASUS X77 comes with all slots as advertised, but you might have trouble finding the SD slot; the manufacturers slide a protective piece of plastic into it, with the result that the front edge looks like it has no openings.

Acer TravelMate Timeline Review

image.png

Acer TravelMate Timeline is a business laptop. No mention of a matte screen or not. I need a “HD” made for entertainment desktop instead of a spacious one made for work. Think of MS Office with those tall menus. The standard menu is about 300 pixels height, so the effective working space is reduced to 468 pixels in height. I get around 6 hours out of my 8371 Core2Duo Model when just browsing and mailing around and the overall build quality is superb in that price range. A light business laptop needs 3G built-in!

HP Pavilion dv7 Review

image.png

HP Pavilion dv7 can chomp/edit the high def video. You’ll be able to hook up that 500 $ canon
high def camcorder to it and flow easily. Which is what I was looking for. Using magic edit movie pro 15
when I added 3D titles, it began to struggle and the cpu went to 100 %. This laptop is high tech looking, windows 7 on this will boot up in about a minute, which is very nice also.

ASUS K50IJ Review

image.png

ASUS K50IJ is an excellent budget laptop, buy it for office apps and browsing are fine. Screen has relatively good viewing angles, horizontal and vertical, pretty good fit and finish for a plastic casing. You can select one language during boot up that’s set forever, that is, until you restore from the recovery partition. The two speakers are on the bottom of the notebook, at the front lip. You really need a hard surface to reflect the sound up to you.

MSI Wind U135 – New MSI Netbook

image.png

MSI Wind U135 comes preinstalled with the Windows 7 Starter operating system provides very nice touch features, powered by the 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N280 processor caused me some hesitation. With the 10-inch screen for a more iphone like browsing experience, Firefox with the grab-and-drag addon is really nice; it’s just that video performance seems to suffer with this browser.

MSI Wind U160 – New MSI Netbook

image.png

MSI Wind U160 power by an 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, it boasts an impressive 10-hour battery life for all-day computing. My functional requirements were to be able to do internet browsing efficiently and quickly, watch videos on certain websites, do email, handle small to medium spreadsheets, and some light word processing. I also wanted a machine with exceptional battery duration and that was relatively light and easy to carry. MSI Wind U160 price about $350. I think it fit me.
