Gateway NV7922u Review

Gateway NV7922u with best features for the price. When doing research the ” new ” intel i5 processor was the way to go. It runs fasted than expected. Better than the core 2 duo. The 64bit system is great. The hard drive at 500gb is more than expected. Windows 7 very nice and I was a windows XP person. The screen size big at 17.3 inches and very clear. Hooks up easily to any TV with the HDMI port. Had no problems playing CD’s and DVD’s. I would suggest getting a wireless mouse and keyboard though. The laptop itself is light weight. If you are looking for a new laptop I would highly recommend Gateway NV7922u for the features and price.

MSI GT660 – New MSI Laptop

MSI GT660 is a new GT series gaming laptop. MSI GT660 with a quad Core i7 processor and a GeForce GTX 285M for graphics with 1GB GDDR3 display memory, and the GT660 is one of MSI’s first notebooks with USB 3.0 ports, Windows 7 as the operating system of choice. There is no word on a price or other specifications. MSI has promising to say more about MSI GT660 at CeBIT in March 2010. If you need a 3D laptop, then I recommend the MSI GT660.

LG X200 – New LG Netbook

LG X200 is Pine Trail netbook with 10.1” HD display. LG X200 with a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and an Intel GMA 3150 graphics card, 4-cell battery and Wifi 802.11n. Measures 270 (W) x 185 (D) x 25.4 ~ 31.7 (H) mm and weighs 1.22 kg. LG X200 will retail for around $642 in Korea, there are no details as yet on when we are likely to see it in the stores in the US and Europe. No word on when it would be made available internationally. LG X200 netbook will not disappoint!

LG X140 – New LG Netbook

LG X140 is new 3G-enabled netbook. It come with a 10″ 1,024 x 600 resolution display alongside an Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, a 6 cell battery, Windows 7 Starter and WiFi supporting 802.11b/g/n, a 1.3MP webcam. The LG X140 design looks pretty slick, from the photo we have right now. A sim card slot also suggests that optional 3G will be on the cards. Pricing and release date is currently unknown. LG X140 seem pretty reasonable to me.

LG T280 – New LG Netbook

LG T280 is thin and light netbook. It look exactly like the gateway netbook on the outside. The LG T280 has an 11.6 inch screen that can display a fairly high resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Powered by an Intel CULV processor, you can choose from either a 1.3GHz Pentium SU4100 dual core CPU or a slightly beefier 1.3GHz Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor. Each with 2GB of DDR3 1066 memory and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD, a 320GB or 500GB hard disk drive. Run Windows 7 Home Premium. Measuring 293 (W) x 200 (D) x 16.7 ~ 31.5 (H) mm, weight of 1.39 kg. Other include integrated WiFi (802.11b/g/n) and a 6-cell battery, VGA and HDMI output. Price ranging from $990 to $1,094. LG T280 looks beautiful. I like the design.

Lenovo ThinkPad X201 Review

Lenovo ThinkPad X201 have awesome prices. You don’t pay for the cosmetics, you pay for power and support. Lenovo ThinkPad X201 could promise a 12 hour battery life with a core i7 is very impressive. It only use Intel GMA graphics, but with Nvidia’s Optimus technology it would seamlessly switch only when you need it to. The touch pad looks really out of place. Lenovo should consider adding touchpad-free CTO options with $50 premium. Personally i prefer to use the nipple over the touchpad anyday. Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is a nice enough laptop, but not nearly the most powerful that title would belong to the Fujitsu t900 or Toshiba m870. But I still like it.

ViewSonic VNB131 looks alluringly thin. Looks kinda like a Lenovo U350, but the DVD burner is definitely sets it apart from other 13″ thin-and-lights. ViewSonic VNB131 is first ULV laptop. It with the latest ULV SU7300 Intel Core 2 Duo processor and run Windows 7 Home Premium, a 320GB hard drive, 2GB of ram, a removable DVD RW Super Multi ODD, up to 12 hours of battery life.

ASUS N61JQ-X1 Review

ASUS N61JQ-X1 looked clean and business like, far from the truth when I popped in a few games, Dragon’s age runs at near all high settings flawlessly with no stuttering or major fps drops and is stunning, runs warcraft @ 50fps in Dalaran, programs are fast, a very nice all around notebook, hard drive is a bit small for gaming, but who needs a bunch of games loaded all at once, does warm up but not too hot, for extended gaming sessions a cooler would be a good idea. I am very happy with ASUS N61JQ-X1. I use it for development, gaming and watching movies, it does all of this very well. The only thing I am not too ecstatic about is the extra “features” preinstalled, and maybe it not having 1920×1080 resolution. Great System!
