Buy Acer Laptop Aspire One Only $99?Internationally such deals aren’t altogether uncommon, but we haven’t seen one here yet. That changes next week if the above image turns out to be legit (and we kinda think it is), with Radio Shack set to offer an Acer Aspire One for just $99 so long as you sign up for a $60/month (or more) data plan through AT&T. (If you squint you can see it’s a rather less enticing $499 without.)

Acer Aspire One only a Wi-Fi toggle switch populates the front edge of the One. Acer Aspire One right-hand side, however, features headphone and microphone jacks, two more USB ports and a multi-format card reader that can handle MMC, SD, xD, and MemoryStick Pro flash flavors. SD cards protrude from the case when inserted in this slot, but memory cards aren’t automatically integrated into system storage; they show up as separate volumes. You’ll also find a Kensington lock slot towards the rear of the One.

Upon getting our hands on the Acer Aspire One, one of our first thoughts is that this doesn’t look like a budget machine. Our system sports a glossy white lid on the outside (it will also be available in black and blue), and a glossy black bezel on the inside which frames the 8.9-inch, 1024 x 600-pixel resolution display Unfortunately, it was a bit of a fingerprint magnet.

The Acer Aspire One from Acer is, I admit, a subnotebook I fell in love with almost as soon as I got my hands on it. Acer Aspire One the reasons were twofold. Firstly it wasn’t white, which makes it a hell of a lot easier to photograph. Also, the keyboard. Building an ultra-portable notebook - or UMPC or sub-notebook or whatever the hell you want to call it – shouldn’t be all that hard, but the sheer number of companies out there struggling to get it right seems to imply that there are hidden complexities to the task.

Acer Aspire One Laptop Performance Review

Acer Aspire One Laptop won’t be breaking any speed records, but it performed adequately for normal activities. Acer Aspire One Laptop if technical constraints are really going to be an issue then you can always upgrade the system yourself. The most surprising thing from a reviewing standpoint was this subnotebook giving benchmark results in every program we could throw at it. This is not par for the course though, as many other netbooks have limited resolutions or other odd quirks that prevent most of the standard benchmarking programs to give valid results.

Acer Aspire One Laptop has plenty of power to handle most applications. Two different models of solid state drive may be received by the end-user, apparently at random. One model is significantly faster than the other, but both models are extremely slow compared to contemporary solid state drives and even "old fashioned" hard disk drives. It took about 11 seconds for the Aspire One’s Media Master to fire up, but once it did, the show ran sans stutter. Granted, this episode was recorded at 320-by-240-pixel resolution and 29 frames per second, but go up much higher, and you’ll start seeing some video slowdowns.

Acer Aspire One Laptop Keyboard and Touchpad Review

Filed under: Acer Laptops, Laptops Reviews — admin @ 11:49 pm

Acer Aspire One is the proper large and medium-sized keyboard, firm and easy to use. We tested the standard keyboard involved in writing the article, playing games and writing jabberwocky poem, and time and again - we have absolutely no problem. Flats with a bilingual keyboard, which replaced a number of key, added a new keys, and change the Other key size may be difficult to type.

In fact, because it provides a solid response and the key to the great gap between the buttons, I declare that, one of several netbooks should give full play to adults of first-hand friendly. I hope I can say the same on the mouse pad. Like the HP Mini-Note 2133 Laptop, left and right mouse buttons sit on either side of the touchpad. I like the Acer Aspire One Laptop Keyboard. This is a great size and does not feel well, in order to achieve some form of factors.

Acer Aspire One Laptop Display Review

The Acer Aspire One Laptop backlight LED display in the Acer desire, is a very bright and vibrant. Candy colors, is a polished and solid feel, to touch - of course tough enough to withstand being thrown out of your pocket. And great, good security panel maintained a 8.9 inches, 1024 by 600 pixels, displayed in places.

The Acer Aspire One Laptop screen itself, although a little too smooth. Even with the brightness of hand, you may find it difficult to see outside. On the whole, is attractive - especially with its lid closed. Bending the advantages and shiny blue complete - it can also be in white - to give it a more contemporary, perspectives are better than average, a broad sweet spot. Level perspective is excellent, which you can see, almost perpendicular to still see on the screen color accuracy. Vertical perspective is good, but they do find their limit in the + / -1 5 degrees forward or backward.

Acer Aspire 5315 Laptop

For a sub £300 Acer Aspire 5315 Laptop I’m very pleased with this. It compares very well with other budget laptops I’ve used, and the highpoint is the amazing clarity and sparkle of the display. The battery life is good too, giving you more than 2 hours of use when away from a power outlet. Batteries always deteriorate over time, but the power consumption on this laptop is low enough to accommodate this.

It arrived today and took no time at all to set up, i.e. initial Vista config, removing some unnecessary software like Yahoo toolbar and replacing Norton Internet Security with AVG. It comes with MS Works 8, and a trial version of MS Office 2007. It also found my wireless network straightaway. I’ve never used Vista before, but it didn’t take long to find my way around.

An absolute must for students or people on a budget. A sturdy, fast reliable laptop. My only problem is that it does not come with a backup disk. but using one of acers features one can be created easily. 5 stars!
