My Best Laptop

Lenovo G530 is a decent laptop and I got it at a steal of a price during a special. It was very fast after I tweaked it out and took off the Lenovo software. Actually, it was a lot faster than I expected it to be especially for a processor with 1024 of L2 cache. Runs very cool and very responsive. Dual core and enough RAM to run Windows 7. Battery life is not great– but actually better than I expected for the price. Unless you really travel a lot– so many average users should just purchase a notebook like this every two or three years. On the whole Lenovo G530 is a great laptop.

Acer Aspire One AO532h is quick. I was working in photoshop and it handled some pretty intense rendering like a full desktop replacement, especially with only 1gb or ram. The battery life is pretty fantastic and delivers on the 8+ hour promise, I tested this by going on a short road trip with my T-mobile G1 tethered for internet. It keeps cool and is almost completely silent. I purchased an older version of this exact netbook for my cousin about a month ago which influenced this purchase and Acer really made a ton of noticeable improvements. The N450 is a noticeable improvement over the N270. Acer Aspire One AO532h is a great netbook for the price. It does very well as a secondary electronic device or even a primary as long as you’re not trying to use it for massive computing purposes.

Acer E725-4520 is not perfect, but awsome for the price. The 2.2GHz cpu is barely fast enough to decode 1080p videos. However, because the single-core cpu lacks hyperthreading, the laptop sometimes stutters when bogged down by a slow thread. Lacking HT is definitely a step backward. The harddrive bay is a tight fit. Windows 7 operates much more efficiently and with far fewer headaches than Vista. Its easy to type on but they have semi large spaces between the keys that allows debris to get underneath and get stuck underneath the keys. So in summary, Acer E725-4520 laptop has everything I need on it.

Lenovo S10-3t 0651-37U is a great little box for around the house use, ebooks, music, some video, gaming etc. The Lenovo S10-3t 0651-37U touch screen is great even without the upgrade, must be the sheer novelty. Nicely sized chicklet keys, and windows syncing made it easy to share music and files between my main computer and this lenovo. Im still waiting for my 2gig Ram upgrade in the mail, so Ill hold out on my final judgement until then. The tablet setup is kinda fly, but remember it twists 180 degrees not 360!! I am very happy with my purchase. Lenovo S10-3t 0651-37U is not a monster rig that will play the latest games, it does need the benefit of 2GB RAM and Win 7 Prem and a clean install to realize it’s potential.

MSI Wind12 U230 is a great laptop, a big enough screen to use in the real world, and plenty of horsepower. Small form factor good performance, big enough keyboard to actually use frequently. MSI Wind12 U230 is perfect! Runs everything I want it too plus it’s extremely tiny! It’s powerful enough for me to Unrar large files and play 720p streams. The MSI Wind12 U230 feels very snappy. The small size is a bonus. I haven’t seen any of the other issues that were mentioned above. For 400 bucks you get an Ultra Portable laptop that’s powerful enough to run all your apps. Spending hundreds of dollars more wouldn’t really give you that much more IMO. If you want to game you probably aren’t buying a laptop anyways. Overall great build quality and funct.

Dell Vostro 3000 is a new dell laptop design. The looks of the Vostro is amazing. Dell Vostro 3000 has a stylish look, yet is very durable. The 13-inche to 17-inche LCD is wide enough for anyone’s viewing pleasure and the screen’s glossy feature makes it look like your viewing a glass screen. The i3 and i5 dual core processors and i7 quad core processor are powerful enough for most applications. The 6GB RAM can do more then enough for a user. The 500GB hard drive offers plenty of space and the speed of the SATA is extremely fast. This new Dell laptop Dell Vostro 3000 is worth every penny.

Dell Precision M4500 is awesome great laptop. Back-lit keyboard is nice. It ok for gaming. The sound quality on this thing is beyond horrible. If you try to listen to music on Youtube, you’ll swear you’re hearing extra drum beats because of how badly the sound is getting mangled. The base screen quality is surprisingly bad. If you use any applications with a dark color theme, you’ll find that there’s no way to angle the screen so that the lighting is even. You’ll always have a bright blob of "I must not be in the sweet spot" backlighting, and it’s really annoying. Dell Precision M4500 works just great for portability, note taking, or whatever you want to do with it.

ASUS G73JH-A1 is great gaming laptop for the price. Gorgeous, smooth graphics in Star Trek Online, DDO, Champions Online and Team Fortress 2 with the sliders cranked just shy of the max. EAX sound is amazing: even sounds decent out of the built-in speakers. ASUS G73JH-A1 CPU performance and multitasking is sweet and responsive. I have multi-surfed Word, Visual Studio and Photoshop CS with no lag or issues. More ports than you can shake a stick at: plenty of USB, eSATA, FireWire (1394) and even HDMI. Bluetooth devices are easily paired. Amazing Windows 7 performance. ASUS G73JH-A1 is the most powerful laptop I have seen at this price point.

Dell Latitude 13 is very fast and nice laptop. Everything worked as advertised. The mouse and key board were responsive, no broken pixels on the screen. CD/DVD drive in perfect order and the USB ports worked fine. The Wifi connect immediatly picked up a few LAN’s on my street. Link-Tronics in Santa Anna did a fine job refurbishing the unit and shipping was very quick.  All in all a great new Dell laptop for the money. You fell like you get a great deal.
