The MacBook Air Rev. B Laptop has a 65nm chip on a smaller package than the regular one.Apple did quite a bit under the hood to turn this into a serious laptop — of sorts. Full disclosure: we (meaning a certain Paul Miller, specifically) have been using a Rev.A MacBook Air Rev. B Laptop for the better part of a year as a primary machine, to very much frustration, so we had some pretty big bones to pick with whatever revision Apple might toss into our laps.

Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Laptop Performance Review Images
The Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Laptop incorporates Intel’s new small-form-factor Core 2 Duo CPU, though with a slightly slower clock speed. That slower speed is at least partly to blame for the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Laptop trailing behind the MacBook Air on the multimedia multitasking portion of CNET Labs’ performance benchmarks. Fortunately the ThinkPad’s 2GB of RAM helped it keep up with the MacBook Air on our Photoshop test, where it also scored well ahead of the Toshiba Portege R500.

There’s still a blue ThinkVantage button above the keyboard, a fingerprint reader below it, and a keyboard light on the top edge of the display.

The HP Pavilion dv5z Laptop 15.4-inch diagonal WSXGA+ High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1680 x 1050) is quite simply one of the best 15-inch screens I’ve seen on any notebook. HP Pavilion dv5z Laptop detail is amazing, colors are rich with deep contrast, backlighting is even across the entire surface, and viewing angles are good. There is some color inversion when you view the screen from below.
