Lenovo Group is slated this month to launch ThinkPad laptops armed with Intel Corp’s new anti-theft technology coupled with Absolute Software Corp.’s Computrace technology.Being part of the vPro Technology component of the Centrino 2 platform, this special hardware will empower specially equipped Lenovo T400 14.1″ laptops with subscriptions to Absolute’s Computrace security-software service.

Enter Lenovo’s newest outrage — the Lenovo ThinkPad W700 Laptop. Containing enough computational artillery to level a small village, this for-creatives-only behemoth is designed for sheer pixel pushing… and little else. The Lenovo ThinkPad W700 Laptop system packs in two features aimed at graphic artists and photographers which are fairly unique to a laptop: a built in Wacom digitizer just to the right of the trackpad, and an on-board color calibrator.

Lenovo tonight Preview two new additions to the ThinkPad family in the form of the Best Lenovo ThinkPad X200s and X200t Laptop. The Best Lenovo ThinkPad X200s Laptop is a slimmer and lighter version of the Best Lenovo ThinkPad X200t Laptop while the X200t Tablet of course adds the functionality of a screen that can rotate into Tablet PC mode and then used like a notepad to write notes on with the included digitizer pen.

Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Laptop Performance Review Images
The Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Laptop incorporates Intel’s new small-form-factor Core 2 Duo CPU, though with a slightly slower clock speed. That slower speed is at least partly to blame for the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Laptop trailing behind the MacBook Air on the multimedia multitasking portion of CNET Labs’ performance benchmarks. Fortunately the ThinkPad’s 2GB of RAM helped it keep up with the MacBook Air on our Photoshop test, where it also scored well ahead of the Toshiba Portege R500.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Laptop Design have been incremental. The Lenovo ThinkPad X300 Laptop ultraportable still features a rectangular black case built around a magnesium chassis. There’s still a blue ThinkVantage button above the keyboard, a fingerprint reader below it, and a keyboard light on the top edge of the display.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Laptop is a welcome upgrade. According to Laptop Mag,the Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Laptop Centrino 2 platform and built-in DisplayPort made an "already excellent machine even better." Most of the basics from the X300 are still here, but critics couldn’t help but swoon over the new inclusions.

Lenovo ThinkPad R500 Laptop comes with a 15.4-inch matte widescreen available in 1280 x 800-pixel (as on our test unit) or 1680 x 1050-pixel resolutions. The Lenovo ThinkPad R500 Laptop latter gives you more pixels to display large documents or multiple windows, though by the time you up the zoom level in your app to read the text comfortably, you might be better off with the lower-res panel.
Lenovo ThinkPad R500 Laptop has switched to LED-backlit screens, this is no longer the case. The WXGA (1280 x 800) screen is plenty bright and looks great overall. I have not noticed any dead pixels or light leakage. Similar to other anti-glare screens, the screen does not reflect light and helps when working with direct light hitting your laptop’s screen.
Lenovo ThinkPad R500 Laptop sports the familiar and classic black casing. Unlike the more expensive Lenovo ThinkPad X200 and X300, which feature a grip-friendly rubberized matte coating on their mag-alloy shells, the Lenovo ThinkPad R500 Laptop ’s pebbled chassis is decidedly plastic-feeling, as if polymer beads destined for the Lenovo-branded side of the factory made their way into the ThinkPad hopper by mistake.
