Most notably, the Msi Wind U115 is a 10-inch netbook featuring the Intel Atom Z530 processor, 1-2GB memory, and a hybrid SSD / hard drive storage system. The solid state drive (being smaller and theoretically faster) is meant to contain the OS while the hard drive is to be used for data. The Msi Wind U110 is basically the same as the Msi Wind U115, except it only ships with 1GB memory and there is no SSD included. Also introduced were the U150 (sadly enough with no specs, besides the fact that it also ships with both HDD and SSD storage) and the WindBox, an Atom N270-based nettop designed to be VESA-mounted to the back of your monitor. The Msi WindBox should be available Q1 2009 for around €300.

MSI MS-1651 Laptop Reviews Pictures
The Mini MS-1651 Laptop design of this notebook is very nice, with a cool looking silver on black appearance. The Mini MS-1651 Laptop screen lid and keyboard palmrest is made up of brushed aluminum, which even includes the touchpad buttons. The media buttons are flush mounted on a matte plastic panel that is entirely touch sensitive except for the main power button. The overall look is very stylish for a gaming notebook, and has nothing too out of the ordinary compared to the lengths some manufacturers go with exotic colors and LEDs.

The Best Cheap Macbook Laptops is a $499 MSI Wind
Wired’s gadget lab has a cool feature article presenting how they got Mac OSX running on a Medion Akoya, also known as the Best Cheap Macbook Laptops MSI Wind. This Best Cheap Macbook Laptops $499 machine is cute, white, somewhat shiny and could be a great Macbook alternative - if it had Mac OS X on it. That’s the idea behind this "mod" that you can attempt at your own risk. The idea is to install a hacked version of OSX from a USB drive (there’s no optical drive on the Wind). The end result? a 10" Mac-compatible computer that costs 3.6 times less than the MacBook Air. Ah and that’s not it: it’s been reported that Mac OS X runs faster than XP on this partcular "mod".
