Samsung N110-12PBK is great. Good sound, Great battery life (extended battery) and the Graphics card is very good. It runs the Sims 3 perfectly, albeit at a low resolution, but with all the eye candy turned on in the game its still looks really good and runs very smoothly. I bought a bluetooth mouse for her and it connected and works will with the built in bluetooth of the laptop. The build quality is some of the best i’ve seen.

Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5992 is the best buy laptop that I have ever bought. It is absolutely wonderful. I work with computers all day at work and I can tell you that Toshiba’s are the best. The screen is huge, the keyboard has a great feel, the mouse pad is great. The best thing about the computer is all the little features, the tiny remote is great, push button on/off wifi, a touchbar volume control and great battery life. Lastly, this is the best computer for the price for back to school or work and non-heavy duty gaming.

HP G61-320US doesn’t have that cheap feel that some laptops have and it feels solidly built. It doesn’t bend or creak at all even when held by the edges. HP software that runs in the background is bulky, buggy and dramatically reduces performance and often interfere with other software. There’s no manual volume control on the machine. It probably won’t fit in the briefcase you used for your previous machine. No recovery disks come with the machine. The whole Windows 7 experience and lack of compatability with earlier Windows software and drivers. The wireless networking seems to work nicely.

Sony VAIO P Laptop is one of the best mini laptop. It comes with antivirus – prolly Kaspersky for Ultra-portables. Imagine this netbook, with a bluetooth headset and a bluetooth mini-remote -control. This one is really really small to be a truly ultra-portable and for that prize – hotness. The Vaio P dual boots to one of those quick OS’s if you want to conserve battery life ad do some menial tasks.

Lenovo IdeaPad U150 is a very appealing device. Looks like the touchpad may be superior to the trendy smooth ones on most competitors. But it also looks like the keyboard could have been a bit wider. Lenovo is very good about updating drivers. Netbooks or these CULV ones have no problems playing DVDs, when it comes to HD videos though, these CULV notebooks can play 1080P HD video out of the box. ION is only going to help if you play games right now but early next year it will enable to watch YouTube HD video smoothly. This netbook can already do this well. Lenovo IdeaPad U150 will be available mid-November in the US. It’s selling in Japan already. That sounds perfect. Can set the power saving mode to converse battery life in Windows 7.

HP G60-519WM arrive on November 8th from Walmart. This laptop is everything I thought it would be; it is extremely fast and while it is too soon, to evaluate it I am satisfied with it. It came with Windows 7 Home Premium installed, the 2.2GHz Intel Celeron 900 processor and the 3GB Memory make it very quick,
this laptop also has a relatively large 250GB 5400 rpm hard drive. It is worth much more than the $298 price. I’m very hope with this laptop, is great, good price, very fast, has everything I need.

ASUS UL80Vt-A1 initial start-up and registration were painless. The display and keyboard are terrific. I look forward to using the machine as my main laptop. I have been very impressed with the features and build quality. It is well constructed with a metallic toned black exterior. Take a good look at the shell art since it is something that may not appeal to everyone. Despite the glossy exterior we haven’t noticed much in the way of finger prints or any scratches despite the helping hands of our kids who love to “help” grandma with her computer.

Sony VAIO VGN-NW240F/P is not the best laptop for gaming. If you want a gaming laptop get an alienware laptop or one of the higher end dells. This laptop is for business use or school use and it performs extremely well in that category. If you do decide to buy this laptop do not buy it from Amazon. Do a search on google products because you’ll find a more places then just amazon that have this laptop for the same price.

The specs for this model are aimed at someone focused on web browsing and office type applications who wants superb battery life. It has a enough performance head-room to keep your computer from becoming outdated anytime soon.
