Just received my HP G60-519WM Laptop yesterday from Amazon. After much review, and a try-out with it. I decided that I wanted a full-sized chiclet/island keyboard and the larger screen, use the computer to surf the web and they do use itunes, but no games or anything like that. The cel 900 is a very capable CPU for the price. Sounds like a great deal. I’m already quite pleased with my decision. At the <$500 price point, this is an excellent laptop.

HP G60-530US run Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, it works very well. The 4 GB of memory is enough. And the 320gb hard drive is plenty to back up with while out traveling. It’s lighter than the average notebook and also thinner as well. The display is bright and offers great colour while watching DVDs. Battery life is great; I got almost 3.75 hours out of it with Wifi off watching one 97 minute DVD and doing basic stuff using apps.

Asus UL30Vt-X1 run Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) Operating System, It works very well. The 8 GB of memory is enough. and The 500gb hard drive is plenty to back up with while out traveling. Every piece of hardware works automatically without any need for configuration. Video’s play smoothly both in VLC and in flash in the browser, and the sound is great.

It is very quiet and does not run hot. The keyboard is a full keyboard and is pretty comfortable and well laid out. watching YouTube videos or chatting or casual game playing without headphones, the audio is adequate. Price for $800.

Acer AOD250-1383 is a great netbook. It is lighter, even with the 6 cell battery. The fan turn on when browsing the web, running virus scans, etc. is quieter. Keyboard is 89% the size of a regular keyboard, and it is smaller than Dell, HP, and Asus 10″ netbook keyboards. The 250GB Hard Drive has NO hard disk vibrations. 10.1″ WSVGA Acer CrystalBrite LED Display is a matte screen to the glossy screen. Windows 7 Starter is very comparable to Windows XP. Price for $326.

Gateway LT2022u is a little small. I haven’t had this netbook very long but i’m impressed already. It with 1GB of Ram and 160GB Hard Drive are ample. 2.62 pounds light weight is incredible. It runs smoothly and I can operate multiple programs at once. You may want to adjust the touchpad so that you don’t drag items on accident, and the keyboard takes a little adjusting to. Wow less than 230$ for this.

Dell Inspiron Mini 1011 is a quality brand and is very affordable and the colors of this little netbook make it cooler than the average black ones out there. Good wireless and fast with windows 7 light. With 160gb hard drive she can store what ever she wants. It has an 1.6GHz Intel N270 Atom Processor, 1GB of Ram, 10.1″ Display, 8 Hours 8 Minutes of Battery Life, All of this in a 5 pounds package. Price in the $330-$480 price range.

Acer AOD250-1025 is an excellent netbook. It run Windows 7 Starter Operating System which is a huge improvement over Vista and is as good as or better than windows XP. Total of 2gb ram, and this little computer works great. The battery life is great, about 3 Hours Battery Life for simple surfing web and word processing. 160GB SATA Hard Drive is enough. Price for $298.00.

Dell Adamo XPS 13 start price $1,799 on the Dell website at December 22nd. It feature a 13.4″ HD 16:9 WLED 720p display, the screen is crisp and clear.It weighs 1.44 kg less than most of my text books. Full-size keyboard uses clean and sleek lines. 5 hours 17 minutes Battery Life is enough. Power by 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor, 4GB DDR3 memory, 128GB solid state drive, run Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit. Performance is great for general purpose computing and it can even play games (casual mostly). It is a great travel companion and overall I am really impressed.
